What our import and export service covers
PedalCraft, Unipessoal Lda is registered in Portugal for non-specialised wholesale trade, giving us the legal basis to import and export general goods, not only bicycles. We handle the paperwork, customs coordination and logistics that come with moving goods across borders, working as the Portuguese and European Union side of a trade relationship.
Who this service is for
This service suits suppliers outside the EU who need a registered European entity to receive and distribute their goods, and buyers in Portugal or elsewhere in the EU who need a reliable partner to source and import from abroad. Our own KONEX bicycle line is a working example: bicycles and components are imported from Pakistan, cleared through customs, and distributed from our base in Amadora.
How an import or export arrangement works
- We confirm product, quantity, origin and destination with you directly.
- We handle or coordinate the customs and import/export documentation required.
- Goods are received, inspected and either forwarded or stored, depending on the agreement.
- You receive a single point of contact throughout, rather than juggling freight forwarders and customs brokers separately.
Why work with a Portugal-based partner
Being registered and based in Portugal gives goods a legitimate European Union entry point, with VAT and customs handled under EU rules. That matters for suppliers who want to reach European buyers without setting up their own EU entity, and for buyers who want a trading partner who understands both sides of the transaction.
